Chronic inflammation is at the root of many diseases, including autoimmune diseases, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, Chron’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies and even many types of cancer.
To lower overall chronic inflammation and therefore relieve symptoms of inflammatory diseases and ailments, one needs to stop eating pro-inflammatory foods (fried, overly processed, sugary and junk foods) and start eating anti-inflammatory, whole healthy foods. For example, veggies like broccoli, kale and cabbage are not only highly anti-inflammatory foods, but are also anticancer foods that boost the function of the immune system and help heal the gut.
