China is the largest producer of rice in the world, but there is controversy how they actually produce it.
The Korean Times reported that China produces granules which looks like rice but they are actually not real rice. These granules are made of potato starch and plastic, steamed with rice aroma.
If you want to be sure that you are eating non-toxic rice, follow the tricks below and identify if it’s really fake rice.
You just need to put few tablespoons of the rice in a glass of water and see what happens. Fake rice will float on the top of the glass while the organic rice falls to the bottom of the glass.
Try lighting on fire a few rice kernels just to see if they start melting. Fake rice does, so you will identify them pretty easy.
Put handful of cooked rice in a plastic container. Leave it in a sunny place for several days. Organic rice should be moldy in 2 days, while fake rice will stay intact.
